Our admins/foremen shouldn't be biased toward popularity/time on the community, if they are that is obviously a problem no matter what. Even if it could be handled normally, there are going to be like fifty applications to start off with...that'd be a problem. I mean sorry if everyone else agrees then it's fine, but it seems to me that we should try to come up with a different system for this. If you are going to go with the biased argument, it's much easier for an admin/foreman to be biased in a teaching style, or think that someone else couldn't learn from someone's teaching style because they can't learn that way. Build trials are different in that logic is logic, but teaching styles aren't teaching styles, everyone teaches and learns differently. I'm just having a hard time thinking that a trialing system is a good method here. Sorry :/

Beyond simply giving a label to those who want to teach and those who don't, the teacher application allows the potential teacher to show staff their teaching ability. If their ability is sub-standard then constructive criticism by the staff or other teachers should bring them up to the standard.
In my opinion, it is important to separate those who want to teach from those who don't, and that is what the application and trial provide.

I am able to teach basic binary skills, gates, flops, and redstone itself. I just don't have anyone TO teach.
