SO IM RANTING HERE ABOUT SKRUBS
actually lately we have had a lot of new applicants posting school apps in the build section, or applicants using the incorrect formats.

What. The. Fuck. is hard about applying.

but seriously though, do we need to change the forums to make applying easier to fill out? if so, how?

Create an application form? You have to choose where you want to apply using radio buttons. And then the correct format is displayed.

RE: Rant - Apuly - 06-26-2014

I'd say we should only have 2 buttons on the openredstone.org/apply page, one with 'apply to build', the other one with 'apply to school', with maybe some explanation about what you do on which server.

After clicking either of the 2 buttons, it brings you to a application form for the corresponding server, where you have individual boxes for all the questions that are asked.

This would make sending people to the /apply/ page a bit more effective than it currently is, because at the moment it's a pretty big wall of text, which, if you don't read it properly, will make it so that people apply to the buildserver instead of school (it's just a small box on the top of the page. I mean, who the fuck reads the top of the page).
This system will also make for stronger "I'm gonna punch you in the face" situations when people still fuck shit up.

RE: Rant - PabloDons - 06-26-2014

clicking the "new thread" button (name change advised) redirects you to the openredstone.org/apply site and from only there you can make a thread where you press either of two buttons 1. apply for build 2. apply for school
also automatically have the form written out when making a new thread so all you have to do is fill it in

having a "new thread" button doesn't really make sense, that subforum should be dedicated to the openredstone.org/apply site so people are forced to go there in order to apply

Why not make a "APPLY HERE" button that upon being pressed, sends them to a standard forum post with the template already there?

Adding on to this now someone in the school server's application (not putting in names, if you want to check):

...Seriously? Not to add this was after 30 minutes of yelling at him "YOU DIDNT APPLY! YOU MADE AN ACCOUNT!"

...Even funnier, Tyler was being sarcastic like "omg best application ever you is totally in", and that person is like "ok who can teach me now, he let me in".

Maybe we are just running out of willing players... and players that just plain pay attention
