As an AMD fanboy, I am happy. - Nickster258 - 06-12-2013 AMD to release their first processor that comes with a stock speed of 4.7Ghz and hits 5.0Ghz without any overclocking.: http://www.techspot.com/news/52862-amd-first-to-reach-5ghz-with-fx-9590-processor.html RE: As an AMD fanboy, I am happy. - seankingman - 06-13-2013 As long as it's relatively cheap and beats most i5's, it will be good for me. Currently on 4.3Ghz with my OC'd A10 so this is quite a step forward. RE: As an AMD fanboy, I am happy. - Nickster258 - 06-14-2013 Apparently it sucks up the wall... (220W) RE: As an AMD fanboy, I am happy. - seankingman - 06-14-2013 Well my GTX480 uses 250W on full load and as I've OC'ed it to 850Mhz it would be drinking nearer 300W. But yea, for a CPU that is quite a lot... RE: As an AMD fanboy, I am happy. - Xeomorpher - 06-14-2013 it's over 10! RE: As an AMD fanboy, I am happy. - EDevil - 06-16-2013 I really dont care about the power usage of the thing, i still live with my parents Problem for me is the heat output, that thing is gonna get hot, and i would really doubt it if its a good overclocker as well... RE: As an AMD fanboy, I am happy. - seankingman - 06-16-2013 Same, but the heat to me is only a problem to the chip itself, unless it is extremely warm outside (+25C) which is not normally a problem here in the UK. When it's relatively cold or my parents want to save money on the central heating, I just fire up Unigine Heaven for a few rounds and my room is back to my most comfortable indoor temperature of between 22-24C.
