What do you like the most about redstone?: The ability to make something functional and say, "I did that..."
What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?: Binary encoder
What does it do?: You click on a number and it translates the number into binary using a BUS system

This isn't quite the level of redstone logic we're looking for in a build server application, I recommend you check out our school server, its a great resource for learning about computational redstone.

this is one of the simplist contraptions I have made EVER, I suggest you make me try out, I have been working with redstone for 3 years...

Allow me to explain why we do the application in the first place.

In order to become a member, you need to pass a trial.
The trial takes an hour.
This means both you and an admin need to take an hour out of anything else we could be doing to run your trial.
No admin wants to take (waste) this hour if we aren't absolutely confident you'll pass.

For this reason, we ask a reasonable demonstration of what you're capable of in the application, and for this reason we can't just "make [you] try out."
