Membership Application - Alimary - 05-31-2013 Hi, I really like your server and would like to apply for membership What is your In Game Name (IGN): Alimary What in particular interests you most about redstone: Redstone interests me because it helped me to start understanding computers a bit better. I would like to join so I could hopefully get a bit better about how to compact and speed up designs, and to learn some advanced redstone techniques. Which prompt have you selected to build: I have chosen prompt 5 If you selected prompt 5, what is the prompt that you have designed: The desgin I made was a redstone computer, it was built during version 1.8. Please provide an explanation of your device: It runs on 64bits of RAM (8x8), and kilobytes(?) of ROM, 1 master, 1 slave. Registers A and B are the input to the ALU which is the main feature of this computer (1's complement Full Adder, Subtractor, not, nor, nand, shifters) . It works on a pulse that travels all around the computer, each time it is guided down another path (1 of 8 or 1 0f 4), where open gates allow the pulse to start sub- routines, e.g delete RAM location x, or close gate y and open gate z, or read a specific area of ROM code. Can also upload 256bits from reading manually imputed bianary (8x8) on a revolving loop. Very slow computer, and for its size doesnt do much. It doesn't run well on my computer and causes too much lag. Please provide image or video documentation of your device hosted by either imgur.com or youtube.com: This is the overall picure of the device http://alimary.imgur.com Do you agree to the rules of our server: Yes, I agree. RE: Membership Application - Guy1234567890 - 05-31-2013 Looks good! Hop on the build server for a trial! Do you know what you plan on building for your trial? RE: Membership Application - Alimary - 06-01-2013 Cool! I was thinking of building a binary counter. I saw a design online for one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRnBWlicAT4), and I added a few extras to it. My design includes a reset function, and can count from a given number (A) upwards in increments of one to another given number (B), and return a value when finished. |
