Application - Smorbrainiac3141 - 11-27-2019

Minecraft name: Smorbrainiac3141

What do you like the most about redstone?:
What I like most about redstone is its accessibility, it is cheaper and easier to work with than building physical computing structures, and doesn't require as intensive an education as building a physical computer does.

What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?:
I have constructed a simple ripple carry adder ALU, though it is simple, it is perhaps one of the easiest to understand adders out there, as though they all perform the same basic functions, they require a bit more knowledge to build. This is by no means my full capabilities though, I have built CCA adders and CLA adders before, but I have not heavily integrated these into a fully functioning ALU.

What does it do?:
it performs eight of the major functions required for an ALU, it can Add, Subtract, OR, AND, NOR, NAND, XOR,and XNOR, but it is also capable of inverting, and has a flood carry function.

What do you plan on making for your build trial?:
I will stick with what I know and build an RCA, it is a simple and effective way to convey the functions of an adder and an ALU and is perfect for explaining how more complex adders and ALUs work.

Do you agree with the rules?:
Absolutely.
