What do you like the most about redstone?: Its useful in every minecraft life part
What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?: Nearly CPU (i couldnt build small enough adders)
What does the thing do?: remember 32 8bit numbers, OR, AND, ONLY, XOR, !A, !B gates

I'm not sure you will have enough time to make a cpu for your trial. Maybe consider something like an ALU, or a multiplier/divider, or square root extractor. That would be more interesting.
