Build application - Jhynjhiruu - 07-27-2019

Code:
Minecraft name: Jhynjhiruu
What do you like the most about redstone?: Experimenting to see what weird devices I can make
What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?: I built a sudoku solver with a friend
What does it do?: Solves sudokus, excluding certain edge cases
Image and/or video, from imgur.com or youtube.com: https://imgur.com/a/y9wukZZ
What do you plan on making for your build trial?: A (4-bit) analogue adder with carry
Do you agree with the rules?: Yes, I do agree with the rules

By analogue do you mean signal strength/hex based?

Also that sudoku solver looks really cool. Could you make a video showcasing it working?

Yes, signal strength based. I know 'analogue' isn't strictly the correct term but it works well enough.

I haven't fully tested it in the latest Minecraft versions yet and, as it was built on a server, need to wait for the owner to send me the world. It's also very slow - but yes, I could make a video.

It's all right, if it's a lot of work you don't need to make a video - I was just intrigued and wanted to see it work.

I would like a picture of that 4 it analog adder however, if you have one.

If I can get the world I can show you it if you want.

I'm not sure I entirely understand the process - am I supposed to build my build trial beforehand or create the entire design during the trial?

You will be given about 1 hour to create something during the trial, so you should aim to make something small but something that shows your knowledge. We ask for pictures to make sure that the person applying has built something before. Often people build an ALU for their trial - that is one of the most common trials I see.

If I build a 4-bit analogue adder in my trial, doesn't that mean I shouldn't have built one before, and so can't show you...? Or am I misunderstanding?
