eah's Application - eah - 05-12-2019 Minecraft name: eah What do you like the most about redstone?: That you're mostly only allowed to build with simple components. What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?: I built a compact (but slow) serial 32-bit binary to BCD decoder located on my school server plot. What does the thing do?: Streams in each bit of the input, performing the shift-and-add-3 algorithm on each digit in turn, outputting the result in BCD after roughly 2 minutes of computation. Image/s and/or video/s of the device, from imgur.com or youtube.com: https://imgur.com/a/jbWtTQg What do you plan on making for your build trial?: The BCD decoder or an adder if you want. Do you agree with the rules?: Yes. RE: eah's Application - Koyarno - 05-13-2019 decoders / adders are a bit too simple for a build trial. Ask around what would be acceptable. RE: eah's Application - Estepario - 05-18-2019 I really think you should revise this application. Eah is good at this. RE: eah's Application - Koyarno - 05-18-2019 Estepario makes me realise theres more to it than i thought. At first glance it looked like a single double dabble cell (most people think that is enough for an app), but i'm quite amazed at the circuitry surrounding it. You wouldn't have to do a standard trial on build for this. I would accept the unit on school if you explained it. |
