My application - Ptolemaic - 01-02-2018

Minecraft name: Ptolemaic
What do you like the most about redstone?: I like it's logic
What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?: I usually make decimal adders/substractors and binary memories
What does it do?:

What do you plan on making for your build trial?: I plan to improve a adder that i made in creative and a compact ram I have in mind
Do you agree with the rules?: Yes

What kind of adder?

What kind of adder?

It's a full adder that can add up to 10^n

Also I have a cool cauldron based CD ROM that I would like to make

If you could convert your adder into an ALU i would accept you.

RE: My application - Ptolemaic - 01-02-2018

I can't convert it becouse it's a decimal piston based adder.
But I just made this tiny ALU. it does: buffer, not, and, or and xor.

I will improve this desgin, I'm sure i can easily add more functions and improve the space.

RE: My application - Koyarno - 01-02-2018

You have to learn to make a proper ALU. Extracting gates from the adder won't be accepted. Ask for a teacher or look at the multitude of trial applications with them.

That was just a 1 bit trial.
I will make and ALU and I will send you a reply when it's finished okay?

Are you only interested in ALUs?

I just made this 4 bit ALU with 6 functions

RE: My application - PaukkuPalikka - 01-02-2018

Could you explain what the functions are and what they do?

It does:

-Binary addition
-Invert A
-Invert B
-Invert output
-Fill carry line
-Cut carry line
-OR function

Accepted for trial! Hop on the server at mc.openredstone.org and ask a staff member for assistance.
(As I told you ingame), you might want to figure out ways to do addition, subtraction and the bitwise functions AND, OR, NOR and their inverses without the use of the output inverter (since it should not be needed) before the trial. Also the decimal adders seem interesting, could be nice to hear about them during the trial
