Application for Server access... - tberry7348 - 07-31-2017

Minecraft name: tberry7348
What do you like the most about redstone?: The possibilities.....
What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?: < = > logic comparitor
What does it do?:  tells weather input A is < = or > B

At the time i came up with the design I had herd mention of CPU's that could do this if that but couldn't find a single image or video explaining how they did so.  I managed to find a electronic logic gate image of how CPU's in the real world compare binary in the real world and managed to break the circuit down into simple redstone gates mostly not gates that could perform the same task at the time.  my PC was fried so all i had to work with is my phone and at the time repeaters had not yet been added to MCP hopefully that gives you an idea of the timeframe in which i came up with the design....  The memory card on my phone got wiped out in a PC accident trying to program my pi-zero and the original adder/subtractor was lost along with the images.  I've recently started playing mc again and with the return of benny's cube am more intent than ever on building a redstone pc...  I do have a youtube channel but am not currently posting vids.  If I do make redstone videos in the future I fully intend to give credit where it's do.

Image and/or video, from imgur.com or youtube.com:
The original image I based my compairator off of was similar to this one but had the ability to compare either 4 or 8 bit data...  I can no longer find the original image.   http://img.f-alpha.net/electronics/digital_electronics/comparator/circuit_diagram_1_bit_magnitude_komparator.gif
Here is the imgur.com pics of the cpu i'm building including the latest version of the compairator based on the image included above...  the new design is no where near the original design as I now have a working midgrade gaming pc again and thus access to repeaters.  althow now that they are available in mcpe it doesn't matter :p

What do you plan on making for your build trial?: I could rebuild the compairator on the server for others to look at although with the addition of compairators into minecraft there's probably a much better way of doing the same thing now...
Do you agree with the rules?: yes,  I see the rules as basic courtesy's that should be on all servers that aren't pvp...   I've run many private servers with a small group of friends and we had similar rules.  Our group prefers to work together or separate but with the goal of building cool stuff in general.  I was the primary redstoner of the group but I admit that most of the builds I did were done by following builds that I found on youtube and those that used my services knew that if it wasn't a build that was so simple I could do it in my sleep it was going to be a copy of an existing build from youtube....

A bare comparator is definitely not going to be able to pass the trial. We are usually looking for a bit more complicated circuits on trials, for example full ALU-s, multipliers/dividers, or even complete/half-complete CPUs. If you could complement that comparator with a couple other components to make a fuller circuit, or you are able to build an ALU and able to explain, I will accept you.

I believe I can do an alu with +,-,compair,shift right and left, and, or, xor, not, and a simple cache.  I'm currently working on just that right now on a single player game.  The compairitor and shifters would be the only components that would be my own design and the layout.  But it will work when I am done.  Won't be  the latest greatest thing out there, I think benny's cube already has that covered. There was a multiplier I liked the looks of months ago but If I could find it again even though I could duplicate it as part of the alu I don't think I understood well enough how it worked to explain it.

Accepted for trial! Hop on the server at mc.openredstone.org and ask a staff member for assistance.
