What do you like the most about redstone?: I like being able to make circuits and stuff with consistent and predictable timing where the only reason for something not working is you.
What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?: One block per pixel display
What does it do?: It's a display where one pixel is one block

Your application does not show sufficient redstone knowledge in order to join the build server. However, I see that you are interested in these kind of things and will be able to learn more.
Instead, I'd recommend applying for our school server here.
