Application - dnlbroun - 01-07-2017

Minecraft name: leglis2000

What do you like the most about redstone?:I think it provides a really interesting basis for learning computer concepts through an easy and accessible medium (aka not a breadboard and teeny tiny transistors). I also love the added challenge of having to make due with only the most basic parts, getting around game bugs, and using game mechanics to solve problems.

What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?: I made a tic tac toe game with very basic AI purely out of modules I designed and developed for part of a curriculum I developed to teach kids redstone.

What does the thing do?: You can play against the AI with win detection. The AI itself is pretty basic, it randomly plays in an available space, but it's weighted towards its own strategy which makes it much better.

Image/s and/or video/s of the device, from imgur.com or youtube.com: http://imgur.com/gallery/aHQtM

What do you plan on making for your build trial?: I was thinking a paint system where you paint a picture in a chest and it shows up on a screen. I know you guys like more logical computer stuff, so if you want something else I'm open to building something else.

Do you agree with the rules?: Yes.

Thanks so much for your consideration!

Unless you can build and explain the entire thing in an hour, it might be too big for a trial.

I'd suggest stuff that's small but has a ton of logic in it, like an ALU/divider or something along those lines.
