New Build Host - LordDecapo - 10-28-2016

As we all know Mort has been an amazingly kind hearted soul and has been letting us use his servers for several years now (to which we are all greatful). Due to his recent issue with his custom length ethernet run going down to his basement failing... we have been running build off of WiFi for some weeks now. This has caused some stability issues.

To help ease the burden and to be able to finally let Mort lessen his worry about his hosting. I will have acquired a new server as of tomorrow. Given my East Coast US location and my 75/75mbps internet that has yet to ever go down in the last 5 yrs except during a bad hurricane that took my power out. I think I will be a great hosting option for build.

Once again, thanks you mortie [Image: biggrin.png]

I will be working on setting up the server through out tomorrow evening and the weekend. Build will now be on a regular backup system that will go to several locations at set intervals. So we dont have to worry about issues with shit being messed up from failed WE's anymore lol

That being said: At some point this weekend there may be a couple hour gap where build will be down as we transfer the world files over and update the DNS. Not sure exactly how long that will take, but I will be going as fast as i can and will run tests before i start.

why the hell do you need more than 1 lol

In case you can't get one without redundant power supplies.
Also power supplies are one of the most likely parts to fail, together with hard drives and probably some other shit.

If 1 goes out, system keeps running. they are hit swappable.

Redundancy is orgasmic to the networking and hosting g world.

Server downtime is all a part of the fun, that's why ECC RAM is satan
