What do you like the most about redstone?: I like the creativity and constant innovation via crowdsourcing
What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?: I made a replica of PAMA from Minecraft Story Mode.
What does it do?: The tiny 6x6 face can express happiness, sadness, neutrality, and can blink. Combinations of certain levers create more emotions like surprise.

What do you plan on making for your build trial?: I plan to expand on this concept both in size and in complexity. I aim to create a much larger interface that can express FAR more emotions than this small PAMA.

I'm afraid your application doesn't show enough redstone knowledge to get accepted.
At ORE, we tend to focus on the computational aspect of redstone, which utilizes real electronic circuits, like adders and CPUs. If you are interested in that, you can make an application for our School Server, or if you think you already know enough about that topic, please make a reply to this thread containing the new information.
