Scrap Mechanic - Legofreak - 08-12-2016

Some of you know that I mostly disappeared about 6 months ago. The reason was the game "Scrap Mechanic". Its a creation game similar to minecraft in that you place blocks, but there are other shapes too. I like that you can make moving parts.

anyway...

The other day, they added logic gates to the game. Before i was able to make logic gates with random parts but now they are built in and super easy to use. You guys should try them out.

anyone with a spare 20 bucks should buy the game and add me on steam if you havent already.

Next time it goes on sale I'm grabbing it. It has actually been in my wishlist for a while now (so long I forgot about it lmao), but I was waiting for some kind of logic gate stuff to be added before considering buying it.

this was on my wishlist for a while, but i subscribed to it and a notification popped up saying something like "New scrap mechanic patch! Added Logic Gates and Timer!"

so i bought it.

and that useless story was brought to you by....

so im looking through the workshop for SM and i find a calculator. so im like, ok, lets see it. i looked at the parts, and here's a list (excluding the like 5 other decoders and like 4 other adders and whatnot):

Quote:16 bit RCA adder
16 bit RCA subtractor (yes, he didnt combine them.)
16 bit decoder
15 bit multiplier
"compact dec7segm" (which i assume means 7 seg decoder?)

Yeah thats probly the one by "brent batch" he seems to be really good at wiring but says he doesnt understand how half the stuff works. He made pretty much the same calculator before the logic gates came out but that was much bigger lol.

the compact 7 segs are probly about teh same as everyone else is doing them.

I was most impressed by his BCD to BIN and BIN to BCD conversion.

Its an ALU...

nothing special but its one of few if not the only ALU right now. Its the only one I've seen so far. I havent had the patience to make one yet.

so i dont keep making new threads about this game i just want to show that i made flappy bird.

0.075 second bird clock(bidirectional shift register)

2 other clocks and a monostable control the pipes shape, speed and spawn rate.  Another bidirectional shift register filled with 4 consecutive bits slides back and forth at a rate fast enough to bodge a pseudo random Y value.  pipe data get inserted at one end of a big unidirectional shift register.

can you tell i just figured out decent shift registers?

i also made my first comparator... ;D
