What do you like the most about redstone?:

It's relation to circuitry. All of the logic gates involving redstone are directly tied to actual circuitry (OR, XOR, AND, NOT, etc).

What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?:

4x4 Piston Door and an adder.

What does the thing do?:

1. Opens and closes and stuff. The stuff part is none of anyone's concern.
2. Adds binary numbers and other stuff.

Do you agree with the rules?: Indeed.
Psh, using C++ to entice application officials.
Do you have a more advanced implementation of your adder, with something attached, or more compact, or faster?

I'm actually using Java.

And no, I don't necessarily have anything better than that. The idea of it wouldn't be hard for me to learn; I catch on pretty fast. I've been wanting to do this type of redstone for a while, but my focus as of late has been mostly on recreational redstone.

Oh, wait, actually, in that image (http://imgur.com/TLlmg6c,UZP1yO3#1), the thing to the right is supposed to be attached to the adder. It saves the output into RAM. That's about as technologically advanced as I've gotten with this.

Like I said, I'm pretty sure I could understand the idea behind making this stuff and what it does, but I couldn't for the life of me tell you how to build it at this moment.
I think you still have a lot to learn, but if you manage to understand subtractors and adders a bit better, i'll accept your application instantly. Please ask a few members on ORE to help you out with this, since its pretty easy Smile
